The Trust’s Dental Service Division has one full time permanent Band 5 Senior Dental Nurse post available within the Dudley Locality of the Community Dental Service.
The post holders have to be experienced Dental Nurses who have excellent interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills and will work in close collaboration with the Dental Nurse Managers, Dental Matrons and Clinical Leads. The role will include responsibility for the management and development of the Dental Nurse Team to ensure smooth running of the service.
The post holders will support the clinical speciality to ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care and that all Trust policies and procedures are adhered to. This will include chairside activity as well as supporting the Dental Nurse Manager and Senior Dental Nurses in the delivery of Dentistry training and development of the Service. They will also educate and develop dental nursing teams to respond to the complex needs of patients that meet the acceptance criteria across the service.
The Trust’s Dental Services Division has an extensive, long established service which provides care for a wide range of patients on referral from general dental practitioners and others, who require specialist or specialised expertise. The service is provided at Birmingham Dental Hospital and from a number of community locations. The service also contributes to the teaching and training of undergraduate dental students, hygiene and therapy students and trainee dental nurses.
